Steve Sahara

Director at Stout

Steve Sahara is a Director in the Valuation Advisory group responsible for assisting the Stout management team with the acceleration of their U.S. and international growth strategy by sourcing new relationships with law firms, accounting firms, family offices, private equity, hedge funds, financial institutions, and public/private companies from middle market to Fortune 500. Steve aligns business opportunities with Stout resources to respond to a clients’ valuation, financial opinion, investment banking, or litigation support needs. Steve has extensive experience working with client management and directors, transaction attorneys, financial sponsors, institutional investors, asset managers and administrators, regulators and accounting professionals across a broad client spectrum including industrial corporations, banks, funds, and insurance companies.
Steve focuses on valuation and dispute consulting for M&A (pre-acquisition diligence, purchase price allocation, post-acquisition disputes, fairness and solvency opinions), financial reporting, corporate and estate / gift tax valuation, business reorganizations, and expert testimony / litigation support for analyses of economic damages across the spectrum of commercial litigation and shareholder disputes.
Steve began his career in business valuation at Price Waterhouse (Chicago), was CFO/board member of a UK telecom messaging software company, and ran financial structuring/execution groups focused on debt/equity capital, funding and liability management solutions at Investment Banks: Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers, ABN AMRO and Credit Agricole CIB in New York and London.

Kelsey A. Lozier

Business Development Manager at Silver Oak Services Partners, LLC

Kelsey Lozier manages business development efforts at Silver Oak Services Partners, a lower middle market private equity firm based in Evanston, Illinois. Silver Oak is focused exclusively on investing in business, healthcare and consumer services businesses. The firm is currently investing out of Fund III which had a final close in March 2016 with total commitments of $335 million. At Silver Oak, Kelsey is primarily responsible for managing relationships with deal intermediaries, business owners and executives, and maximizing the flow of new investment opportunities.

Prior to joining Silver Oak, Ms. Lozier spent two years at Speyside Equity, a middle market special situations private equity firm focused on acquiring manufacturing companies in the food ingredients, specialty chemicals and industrials sectors. At Speyside, Kelsey was responsible for sourcing, analyses, diligence, execution and portfolio management.

Ms. Lozier holds a B.A. degree in Financial Management and Spanish from Hillsdale College.

Jason Berne

Partner at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP

Jason Berne represents lenders and borrowers in a wide range of financing transactions, including secured and unsecured credit facilities, private placements, channel finance transactions, multiparty syndications, mortgage loans, and sale-leaseback transactions. His practice also includes advising debtors and creditors in a variety of workout matters, including note sale agreements, deed-in-lieu transactions and forbearance agreements. Mr. Berne regularly counsels clients on industry-specific financing issues including healthcare, franchising, distribution, and real estate.

Mr. Berne was with the firm’s Middle East practice during 2005. He advised clients on a range of international commercial transactions including joint venture formation, corporate formations and governance, labor and employment advice, distribution and service arrangements, real estate transactions, intellectual property protection, and technology-related transactions.

Mr. Berne has studied in Edinburgh, Scotland and Sussex, England. Before attending law school, he worked for management consulting and financial analysis firms in London and Chicago.

Nathan Harnetiaux

Senior Vice President at PineBridge Investments

Mr. Harnetiaux joined PineBridge in 2017 as a Senior Vice President in Americas Business Development with a focus on providing strategic investment solutions to a broad range of insurance companies. He was previously a Director, Business Development at Brightwood Capital Advisors. Prior to that he served as a Portfolio Manager at Kemper Corporation and ran their alternative investments program. Mr. Harnetiaux holds a BS in Finance from The University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is also a CFA charterholder.
